2015

The first Englischhausen program took place in July of 2011.  It was the 597th intensive residential English course run by the Pueblo Ingles group (aka Diverbo, since summer 2012).

There have been over 50 more Englischausen programs since then.  They have all been tremendously successful and received incredibly positive feedback from all participants, both on the volunteer and "student" side.

We are looking forward to more wonderfully diverse groups thoughout 2015, and to seeing more German (and other nationality) students making amazing headways in the English language.  The full current calendar is now available at our main volunteer website at www.diverbo.com  (2016 dates expected in November 2015.)

Volunteer Vacancies
Generally it is easier to get a volunteer placement if you apply for/request a program soon after our yearly calendar is released (end of November).  That said there are several other things to bear in mind:
- There's a great deal of "competition" for places:  we have had over 35,000 applicants in the last ten years and approximately 30% of our 20,000 participants have repeated at least once; some even request several programs a year!
- for any one course there will only be a maximum of two places for any given profile (e.g. UK, male, 22-35 years, teacher). That's because in each group of 15-23 anglos we need to get a good representation of nationalities (for diversity of accents), and professional backgrounds; not to mention the importance of mixing men/women, young/less young/young at heart, etc!
- programs in Germany remain fewer and further between than the Pueblo Ingles versions in Spain.  To give yourself the best chance of getting a place on a program we would recommend that you consider selecting dates for both the Germany and Spain-based versions.

How to apply
Request for one of the above dates should be made through the Diverbo website.  If you have already applied to Englischhausen or Pueblo Ingles (the sister program in Spain) in the past, then you can simply log in and request a date in the normal way.
If you are applying for the first time then you will need to fill in an application at the Diverbo website.
